Peachland Elementary School is affected by an evacuation order in place as a result of a massive wildfire.

School District 23 Superintendent Hugh Gloster says the school will be closed Monday and staff will be reporting to Mount Boucherie Secondary School or the Hollywood Road Education Services facility.

Gloster says if the evacuation order continues for a length of time, a alternate plan will be discussed.

"We would look at making an alternate arrangement for potentially subsequent days where we could set students up with their teachers at an alternate location."

Gloster says they may limited in their ability to run buses in the area of Mount Boucherie Secondary School and Glenrosa Middle School Monday.
