Gaming Grants to Benefit Two Local Clubs

Two South Okanagan clubs will be benefiting from some gaming grants thanks to the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development.

The Apex Ski Club and the Summerland Orca Swim Club will share $41,600.

This latest round of grants comes from provincial gaming revenue of $3,775,327 and will support 137 programs around the province.

Revenue from provincial gaming supports programs in arts, culture, human and social services and sport.

Last year in 2011/2012 the government distributed a total of $135 million in gaming grants for eligible community programs and services.
